The 2001 Playoffs began in the 23^rd week of the Season.  The Rib Eaters and baseball08 enjoyed first round byes for their first and second place finishes.  The fourth seed Greats faced the fifth seed Puppets.  It was the superior pitching of the Puppets’ staff that helped them win a tight 9-8 contest.  Meanwhile, sixth seed Mules lost to the third seed Jumanjii Jynx, 10-8.

The semi-final round took place in the following week.  The Jumanjii Jynx squeaked by the defending champions, baseball08, 9-8, thanks to their superior offense led by the resurgence of Carlos Delgado and Jose Vidro.   The Rib Eaters locked into a nail-biting 8-8 tie with the Port Washington Puppets.  With the tie going to the higher seed, the Rib Eaters were able to advance to the Championship Game against the Jumanjii Jynx.  The Puppets had to play for pride (and third place) against baseball08.

The underdog Puppets surprised everyone by soundly beating baseball08, 12-7 to take Third Place.    The Rib Eaters played with all cylinders and trounced the Jumanjii Jynx, 15-3 to take the League Championship.
