This weeks game against Port Adelaide is yet another crunch game for the dogs. It is critical to their chances of making the eight, because they probably need to win at least 3 of the last 5. And, with games against Essendon and Carlton coming up, the bulldogs really need to win this game.
The doggies aren't exactly at full strength at the moment, with key tall players out injured, such as Grant, Ellis, Darcy and Hunter. However there should be enough depth to cover for them. Young players like Robbins, Contessa, Plunkett and Penny have been quite good in recent weeks.
Port Adelaide, while second bottom on the ladder, have been in ok form. So, the bulldogs will not only need similar contributions from the younger players, but also our senior players need to stand up.
Therefore, if we are to win on Sunday, players like West, Johnson, Smith, Croft, Libba, Romero and Browny will need to stand up. I predict the dogs will win by 20 points.
