Port Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs
Round 6 - Saturday May 5, 7.40pm
The Bulldogs go into this match as underdogs with key players, Darcy, Croft, Curley, Romero and Dimattina out of the side. Dooley has come in to replace Darcy, Kretiuk returns after injury, and youngens Gilbee and Wiggins will get another chance to prove themselves. Congratulations to Jordan McMahon, the club's first round draft pick of 2000, who will play his first senior game this week.

Port Adelaide has been a surprise packet this year, winning the Ansett Cup and 4 out 5 of its matches. Add to that, forward Stuart Dew who is currently the League's leading goalkicker.

The Bulldogs will need Grant and Huddo firing in the forward line, as opportunities will be limited due to the absense of Romero and Libba in the midfield. However, defense may also be a problem, which could mean that Grant will have to play CHB.

A good start will be vital, firstly, to shut up the Port fans, and secondly so we don't have to play catch up like last week against the Hawks.

Prediction: Bulldogs by 10 points!
