The Irish Setter Club of British Columbia is a group of Irish Setter fanciers dedicated to the versatility, and enjoyment, and preservation of the breed. The Irish Setter has a rollicking personality, and gentle temperament which make it suitable for many activities with its active family. Our club has members who enjoy their Irish as wonderful house pets, obedience partners, field/hunting companions, agility and flyball team members, and therapy dogs. We have regular get-togethers at which we have speakers, trainers, and demonstrations of dog related activities. The club holds a Specialty Conformation Show, Obedience Trial, Junior Handling, Sweepstakes and Field Dog Test each year. In addition ISCBC offers two all Pointing Breed Field Dog Tests each year. We also hold regular field fun days, and are planning to hold field training seminars, bringing field dog experts into our area to share their expertise.
