Indian Students Association Western Kentucky University
Formed in September, 2001, the Indian Student Association at the Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, Kentucky, aims to bring all the Indian Students on campus together, to help them in any way we can and to create a friendly atmosphere for the students to live in. The ISA aims at bringing all the student communities on campus together eventually, to live as one big family of friends.
Aim of the ISA
The main objective of the ISA is to help the Indian Student Community at WKU to deal with any legitimate issue they face or bring to the notice of the ISA. The ISA will be able to understand and communicate with the Indian Students better, next to their kith and kin. The ISA will primarily work on issues like transportation of Indian students from the airport to the campus and vice versa, arranging temporary and/or permanent housing for new students, arranging transportation for the students to Nashville for shopping Indian groceries etc. The ISA will deal with issues beneficial to the Indian students and will extend all its support to resolving issues beneficial to the entire student community. The faculty, staff, students of the other communities on WKU and the general public will be invited to join the Indian students in the various cultural programs we conduct. This will provide an opportunity for all to share their cultural knowledge and ideas, bring everyone closer to one another and create a safe, peaceful and cozy environment for all involved.
Our Non-Discrimination Policy
The ISA will not show, indulge in, or allow any form of discrimination against the Indian Students, any student or any person on or off the WKU Campus based on the Nationality, Color, Religion, Caste, Creed, Sex or Region. The ISA will strongly condemn and if necessary, hand the person over to the WKU authorities, as we are bound by WKU rules and regulations. Students from other communities may join the ISA as its Guest Members
