Rough Scheme of Volunteer Activities at Berkeley
We will provide the residence and necessary support for physically challenged (P.C) people who to live and study in the U.S. Japanese P.C. people will be the target of the first and second steps in principle.
First Step: One year from March 2003 (Student visa)
- Become an English school student. Rent a house or an apartment. After getting used to living in the U.S.While learning English, I will invite a P.C. person from Japan as a home-stay for trial invitation.
- During this period, establish the NPO in Japan and collect contributions for charities.
Second Step: 2004 - 2005 (Working visa)
- Purchase a house with about 5 bedrooms. Invite two to three P.C. people there for the home-stay program.
- Establish the NPO for this activity in the U.S.
- Build a P.C. person living dormitory or purchase a second-hand apartment using The NPO funds.
- Create a home-stay host family network.
Third Step: 2005 - (Permanent residence visa)
- Expand this program to P.C. people from different countries, who wishes to study at Berkeley. Recruit volunteers who will support this NPO from these countries to maintain this program.
