1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? I am not a yarn snob but I like to try new kinds of yarn from time to time... Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Not at all... I actually use those two brands! 2. Do you spin? No. Crochet? Yes! I especially like thread crochet. 3. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? They are held together with rubber bands... 4. How long have you been knitting? I have been knitting/crocheting for... as far as I remember. My Mom taugh me when I was a little girl but I only have been reading patterns for 2 years or so... Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? I consider myself as an intermediate/advanced knitter. 5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? I have an Amazon Wish List. (link here) It also can be found on the side bar of my Blog and on the Knitting page of my website. 6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.) Baby Fresh scent, Vanilla, Coconut. I love candles and encents! 7. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy? My favorite desert is Cheesecake, the plain kind. Peanut butter balls or Reeses cup, Yogurt Pretzels are my favorite candy. 8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Cross Stitching, Sewing, Gardening. 9. What kind of music do you like? Today Country Music and 80s. Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) Yes. 10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? My favorite color is Indigo Blue but I also like Earth tones especially when it comes to home decoration or clothes. Any colors you just can't stand? Please, no pink or bright/primary colors! 11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? Married, 2 young kids. No pets but I like to feed wild birds and deer in my yard. 12. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos? Oh YES! All of that! :) 13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? Sport Weight Mashine Washable Wool. 14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? None. 15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s? I made lots of slippers (have some more to do) and I would love to make myself a Shrug! 16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? Circular Knitting items: Sweaters, Hats, Socks,... I am not very fond of putting pieces together... 17. What are you knitting right now? I am finishing a scarf for my Husband and some Slippers. Other WIPs: a cable sweater for my Baby Girl and a Lacey Afghan + a thread crochet Tablecloth 18. Do you like to receive handmade gifts? Yes! 19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Circular needles. 20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? Aluminium and Bamboo. 21. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift? No. 22. How did you learn to knit? My Mom taught me the basics when I was a little girl and I taught myself to read patterns in french (about 20 years ago) and in english (about 3 years ago). 23. How old is your oldest UFO? About 2 years old... The Lacey Afghan. This pattern requires attention and with the kids it is impossible to concentrate on the stitching... 24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird? No favorite animated character in particular but I like butterflies and Lady Bugs. 25. What is your favorite holiday? Thanksgiving. 26. Is there anything that you collect? Snowglobes, Teapots, Mugs, State Magnets, US quarters. 27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? None at the moment but I used to get Easy Knitting. *** Update: Just got myself a subscription to Creative Knitting Magazine! :)) 28. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? Elizabeth Zimmerman's "Knitting Around" book and "The Sweater Workshop" by Jacqueline Fee. 29. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn? Short row knitting, Intarsia and Entrelace. 30. Are you a sock knitter? Yes! I love to knit socks but with thin yarn (#2.5US max.)!
