| General internal construction of human body the chains Generally speaking all our bodily movements can be devided into two categories: - the passive movements which caused by external powers. The samples can be the gravitation power, the impulses caused by external objects or partners and so on. - the active movements caused by human muscules. These movemens can be walking, running, jumpings, turnings, fallings, holdigs, grippings, punchings, kickings and miriads of other activities. The movements of human body are based generally speaking on the the impulses which the body had perform prior to them or still performing, using them as platform. There no differences between passive and active movements from mechanical point of view if the passive movement is under our control. The only difference is that an active movements are initiated by our will contrary to the passives ones. For example our punch is based on the impulses from our elbows shoulders back waist knees- feet. The feets impulses are based on the impulse of the Earth. Some our movements are based on the impulse of the Earth, but many depend on the impulses of the parts of our bodies. This is why in many texts appears that the kickings based on the chest movements. The final truth is that the chest impulse in its turn was originated on the impulse based on Earth. What I have described here I call chains in the human body. These chains apply our bodily parts fully connected, each after another with some delay. This is a very fundamental law in ISAI. The openings, closings and the energy flowings in the human body The very fundumental rule in many martual arts and especially in so called internal and soft matrial atrs is that the waist or hips area always direct our body movements. Also well known the fact that in most matrial arts so called Tan Dien located in the hips area is a centre of human body and the energy centre. Some other martial syles locate the energy centre in the solar plecsus. In some styles of Taiji Chuan the very impotrant role play openings and closings of the body. We will describe also some other fenomena like Prana flowings thru so called Ida and Pingala and Small Chi Circulation in Daosism. All these facts can be understood during our study of ISAI. I will also describe connection between these fenomenas and the managing of the energy or Ruah flow in ISAI. As I alredy said the openings and closings of hips play very important role in ISAI. These movements are followed by openings and closings in the shoulders area, which are followed by openings and closings of hips and so on.. By the way the interesting example of how the hahds and shoulders area movements can influence our all body movement is obvious when using in the hands some heavy tools. Another good example is rope walkers which use log and heavy pole which is almost immovable and serve the walker as platform similar to the earth for the legs. The hands themselves which weight in average about 10 kgms and which can have considerable amount of movement (mv mass multiplied speed) will present such a platform for rest of the body, in lesser degree comperatively with legs. The leg performing kick can serve platform as well. |
