Does anyone know what it is all about?
Is it about who gets the most Christmas cards.
Or who can put up more lights.
Maybe it's who can throw the biggest party.
Or who can spend the most money.
What is it that matters most at Christmas?
Do the children understand it at all?
Do they think it's about who gets the most expensive gift.
Or how many gifts are under the tree.
Do they realize it's the thought that counts.
Or is the most important thing who gets the biggest gift.
But wasn't the biggest gift given to us all?
On that night so long ago.
The love sent to us from above.
