Powerpets is, I think, the best virtual pet site on the web. It has so much to offer young and old alike. The best thing about Powerpets is that you actually learn things while you play.
What do they offer you ask?
REALISTIC Pets: from three different countries like the Gray Fox, Siberian Tigers, Japanese Cranes, the koala, dogs, cats and so many others.
A family SAFE site: Powerpets is monitored by live staff 24/7. The staff members are also players who know a lot about the game or are just real friendly and like helping others out. The chat boards are kid friendly and there is no teasing or name calling and no swearing to name a few of the rules. Anyone caught breaking the rules gets a warning and if they don't listen then they are removed from the boards so you can be certain that you or your child isn't reading anything you don't want them to. Got a question? No need to send support mail, post your question on the chat board and almost instantly you have an answer.
It's FUN!: Players of all ages can be found at the Powerpets site. There are games to play, quests to perform and secret rooms and cities to find. A really good thing about Powerpets is that everything is not based on how many powerbucks you have. Some things can't be bought and you have to earn them and that gives one a great sense of accomplishment.
YOU have a voice: and Powerpets listens to you. Powerpets believes that player input is important to make their site the best it can be. There is a monitored suggestion board where players can put in their two cents about what would make the site a better place. Best of all, Powerpets actually reads them and some of the suggestions are actually incorporated into the site. There is also a poll booth so Powerpets knows just how everyone is doing and if they like or dislike something.
They keep you INFORMED Powerpets let's you know exactly what's going on and when. The Power Press is updated weekly but they don't just tell you what has already been done, they tell you what's going to be done, what they are working on and what time they might be finished. Powerpets makes you feel like part of a community and not just a player left helpless to the whims of others. There are no questions left unanswered at Powerpets.
READ and LEARN: Books a big part of Powerpets. Many of the quests require a player to purchase a book and read it in order to answer a question. The books are informative, sad, funny, scary and for the most part a pleasure to read. The greatest thing about this reading though is, not only are you reading HealthPedias which deal with real pet illnesses and their cures, or PetPedias which tell you all about certain animals, you get to read other books written by players just like you. That's right, every month Powerpets accepts thousands of stories but only the top 100 get printed and used in the game so if you're an aspiring writer join today .
ARTISTS: PowerPets accepts artwork by players. Follow their guidelines for submission and you could see your weapon, food or toy sold in shops for other players to purchase.
