Digimon Tamers is my favorite season of Digimon. It's more serious than the first two seasons, but it's still funny. And my favorite digimon characters ever live in this series!

Basically, it's about the real world in which the first two seasons of digimon had been on tv and there was a digimon card game. Then, some kids find out that digimon and the digital world are real and they get their own digimon and become Digimon Tamers, hence the name of the season.

Takato Matsuda/Matsuki:

Takato is my favorite goggle boy! *heart* He's so cute and sweet.

Takato is a nice and smart little boy who loves to sketch and play the digimon card game. He watched the tv show, too. (Kazu: What's with the glasses, Yolei?) Anyway, one day while he's putting away his cards after playing, he sees a card he's never seen before. So he scans it with his card reader. The reader then turns into a digivice. That night, sketches he had made of a digimon he invented get pulled into the digivice and the next thing he knows, he has a cute digimon named Guilmon. Guilmon acts just like a baby, at first, but eventually he and Takato become the best of friends. Takato pushes his timidity aside and holds onto courage and determination to save the world (well, to stop the D-reaper from hurting more people), in the end.

His parents own a bakery, so he often provides food for the tamers.

Over all, Takato is my favorite digimon character, ever *heart*

Jenrya/Henry Wong:

Henry is... well, I don't know. I like him, but I think he tries to act older than he is. Then again, he has an older brother, an older sister, and a younger sister. He is protective of his little sister (named Susie). His dad is Janyu, one of the "Monster Makers." He is Chinese and goes to Takato's school, but he's in a different class. His digimon partner is Terriermon, a little big mouth (lol). Terriermon and Henry can be quite funny together. Anyway, Henry actually got his digivice and Terriermon through his computer on a digimon game. Henry takes martial arts classes, so he often uses his skills (along with quite funny Link-like battle cries) in battles.

Henry often acts as the brains of the young tamers team. He makes sure everyone uses their heads before rushing into things. At first, he refused to fight anyone with Terriermon, because he didn't want anyone to get hurt. But when it came to saving his friends, family and the world, he had other things in mind.

Ruki/Rika Nonaka:

Rika is the "bad girl" of the team. She's almost like the lone wolf of the series. She lives with her mom and grandma. Her mom is a super model and Rika can't stand it. At first, all she wanted to do was fight, because she was the best at the card game and was named the Digimon Queen. She wanted to stay the best.

So she acts all tough and mean to the guys in the beginning and nicknamed Takato "goggle head." She wasn't really part of the tamer's team until after she realized how much Renamon, her partner, meant to her. Then, she kind of cooled off.

Hirokazu/Kazu:

Kazu is part of the "comic relief." But practically everyone is, he's just major at telling bad jokes. He's the class clown. His best friends are Kenta and Takato. He ventures to the digital world and finds his partner, Guardromon, who had been Andromon.

Kenta:

Kenta is practically Kazu's shadow. Kazu always insults and picks on him, but he still sticks around because he knows he's Kazu's best friend. He, Takato, and Kazu would always play the digimon card game before school at the park. Kazu usually won, and Kenta usually lost. Kenta is a nicer, quieter version of Kazu. And he likes to sing. Well, technically, so does Kazu.

Anyway, as they were leaving the digital world, a tiny little flying digimon followed him and became his partner. Surprisingly, it was a mega called Marineangemon. Those two ended up being very helpful.

Ryo(u) Akiyama:

Meet the beautiful Digimon King. He was the best at the card game forever, but one day he disappeared, so Rika became Queen. It turned out that Ryo had been in the digital world because his digimon wanted to battle all the time and Ryo felt bad about "lashing him" with his digivice. So Ryo took Cyberdramon to roam the digital world looking for his opponent.

Anyway, so he starts to help the tamers and hits on Rika, which angers her. These bad little kids. *shakes head* But he was really cool and cutely modest about being the Digimon King. Plus, his voice actor went on to play Kouji later :D

Juri/Jeri Kato(u):

Jeri is the... well the "damsel" of the show. I guess you could say Takato had a crush on her. Anyway (man, I like to say that), she's crazy. She carries around a puppet and talks with it and stuff. At first, she would make fun of the guys for liking digimon, but she really liked it, too. Once she layed eyes on Leomon, she knew she had to be a tamer. (She chased Leomon around begging him to be her parnter). So, Leomon becomes her digimon. But he dies. And she gets all depressed and stuff. And annoying. Ugh.

She gets captured by the D-Reaper and she makes it all strong and stuff. But Takato refuses to give up because he's just "got to save Jeri!" But then she actually begins to fight back and gets cool again. The end. lol

Calumon:

I take back what I said about Takato being my favorite digimon character ever. Calumon is. *hugs Calumon* And Calumon has no tamer, so I'll be his tamer!! Yay!

Calumon is absolutely adorable and he's silly and crazy, too. Everything I want in a digimon. Although, apparently, he wasn't really a digimon at all. He was the "light of digivolution," whatever the heck that means. They meant that he was the catalyst in digivolution?
