... I'm at school one day and Sky comes up to me with like fifty million pictures of this guy I randomly found fanart for all crammed into three pages and she hands me a copy of a drawing and asked me to draw a face for the guy...

Hilary: I know this dude... What's his name?
Sky: Edward!

...

Then, I kinda put the pieces together and realized that there was an anime for this little dude out in the US. I never did get around to watching it, and figured I never would. It came on Adult Swim, and I wasn't much of an Adult Swim person... Until that fateful night that Brandon would come sleep over.

When Brandon spends the night, Brent, Brandon and I pile into one room (which room depends on the day and the circumstances) and stay up at night for hours playing games and watching TV and movies and such... This day, Brent put the TV on Cartoon Network during the Adult Swim airing. A show called Fullmetal Alchemist was on. Oh goodness, there was that long blonde haired dude again!

One line got me hooked.

Edward: Once again I'll have to listen to Colonel Sarcasm tell me how I screwed up. *adopts "Roy" voice* Struck out on the Philosopher's Stone again, huh? How am I supposed to keep funding this goose chase? Money doesn't grow on trees, there, chief. *funny arm thing* Ed? Where'd you run off to? Oh, wait! There you are! I couldn't see you there behind my paperwork, seeing as how you're so short and all!

And that was the line. I was henceforth in love with Edward Elric (however, sorely disappointed when he began to curse), despite his braided hair. And then, I realized that Al is much better, but I couldn't very well switch (besides, Erin married Al! Duh!). That was the first part I saw (and I just watched it, so I guess that makes it the last one I saw, too).

So then, I started watching every episode that came on. Brent downloaded all the Japanese episodes, so I've seen them all. What an experience.

At one point, I was so emotionally distressed because of that show, I about died. I stopped watching it for like a week. Then I decided I needed to know what happened. So I eventually finished watching it...

What made me so emotionally distressed? Well, for one thing, Izumi and her dern equivalent exchange. I asked Megan if she could live with out the internal organs of her abdomen, and she said yes, so I guess Izumi's good... I dunno how her other organs picked up the processes for the rest.... Ah, the wonders of Alchemy.

IZUMI SHOULD BE DEAD!! Not that I want her to die.

*AHEM* So, that's how I got hooked on FMA.

Izumi ended up dying.... Don't I feel bad...?
