There are a lot of street children who are abandoned by their parents in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. These children can find small jobs on the streets. However, there are only terrible choices for older children to get money, like prostitution. For this reason, the population of children who have HIV virus is increasing on the streets. The biggest problem is street children don’t have any chances to learn about sex education because they can not get enough information by media. Therefore, social workers wrestle with it using the colourful cartoon about AIDS prevention, produced by Streetkids International, to give right information and to get the attention of street children. Then, they hope AIDS among street children won’t spread any more and to get them off the street.

Street children are in an awkward position because they have a lot of problems with their life. They maybe wont to live with their family, but they can’t do it naturally because of violence and abuse by their parents, wars and economic problems. It must be very hard and painful for children. Also, it is unbelievable that they go on the streets as prostitutes to get some money. The streets are not places to live, but actually, many people live on the streets, even children. Street children are really pitiful because they have to survive without their parents’ love, education about every things and money. People who don’t have steady foundations of becoming parents should not make children. Children can not choose their parents, so parents have to have responsibility to their children. Before to teach something to street children, people need to know how to make their children grow up peacefully and happy, also how to keep their right to live. What we can do for them.
