Hi there,

I'd like to talk about one of serious problems in the world, HIV and AIDS. I focused on teens in this time. Do you have any interests of that? Have you taken notices of that?

I hope you've learned about that using this document.

Summarize of new AIDS prevention ads focus on teens

Summary

US public health officials in 1995 have unveiled a new AIDS prevention media campaign made up spots that aim their frank message about sexual behavior at youth. "Respect yourself, protect yourself" is the theme of the new campaign. Abstinence is recommended-but condom use is encouraged in the absence of abstinence.

AIDS can take 10 years to develop, the idea is to catch teenagers and people in their 20s, group in which the virus is spreading rapidly.

Young adults should see and hear more from their thoughts and their feelings about this problem.

The AIDS has already claimed some 300,000 lives in the US. It is leading cause of death for people ages 25 to 44.

Thoughts

I think that it is so important to educate teen about HIV and AIDS. Many of teenagers misunderstand HIV and they have not enough knowledge about HIV. If teenagers get the education, we can reduce the death of people who are young adults ( 25-44 y.o.) AIDS patients.

I suggest that each city should have the organization which teens can get education about HIV clearly. It is also good for teens with HIV that there is an association it support them. Vancouver, Canada has some kinds of the organization

PS. Hi, I was really wondering how you've been educated about HIV and AIDS. Could you tell us more if you have a spare to think of that?

Here is some pictures! (?^,^?)

As you can see that this red ribbon is for AIDS campaign, this is a symbol for everyone to understand and know serious diseases and people who cannot help having the diseases

and suffering from it. This is one of a charity fund drives. Is there a symbol like here in CANADA?

If you have any questions, let us know!

I'm looking forward to receiving your answers.

Thanks and take care,

Kumiko
