Day9: 10th Dec'03, Wednesday - Transfer to Tarangire

 

0850 hrs.: Left Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.  Drove for around 7km on dirt road to reach Tarangire.  Passed Mto Wa Mbu (river of Mosquitoes) which is north of Lake Manyara.

1225 hrs.: Arrived at Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is a beautiful area stretching south east of Lake Manyara around the Tarangire river. Here, you will find the famous Baobab Tree and the tree climbing python.

Game viewed along the way : Waterbucks, Elephants, Impalas, DikDiks, Reed Bucks, Hornbills, Maribou Stork, Squirrels, Emerald spotted doves, 3 Ostriches, Giraffes, Common Shrike.
