Fun stuff on the Web Here are just a few things that I'm interested in. I used to put all these interesting links here, when the web was small. But now it's too big. And you can just find everything with Google. I've attempted to write text around the links, in the spirit of hypertext.
I am a fan of the Miami Dolphins, since I grew up in Miami, Florida. I also follow the Los Angeles Lakers, New Jersey Nets, New Jersey Devils, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Yankees. I miss reading the Miami Herald. I occasionally follow Brown University hockey. When I was a student at Brown, I was in the Brown Band.

My friends Barry and Michele Fagin have started the Families Against Internet Censorship. Let's let the families provide the protection, not the government.

I am getting tired of unsolicited commercial e-mail. So I joined CAUCE, a group trying to change the junk fax law to stop this stuff.

Finally, a colleague sent me this quote by Machiavelli, which I need to remember more often:

And let it be noted that there is no more delicate matter to take in hand, nor more dangerous to conduct, nor more doubtful in its success, than to set up as a leader in the introduction of changes. For he who innovates will have for his enemies all those who are well off under the existing order of things, and only lukewarm supporters in those who might be better off under the new.
