| Edge came into the WWFtoyz in the spring of 1999 among little fanfare. He was new to the sport and a brand new face here in the Federation. Basically no one knew who he was. No one has seen him wrestle and he used that to his advantage early on. In one of his first matches, he upset the budding superstar, Triple H, then known as Hunter Hearst Helmsley......The rematch was set for Spring Stampede in April, and at that date HHH won in a hard fought match...That match was a match of the year candidate and Edge showed how great he was when he gave HHH the downward spiral off the top rope after the pinfall...Edge stayed off PPV for a bit till he got more experience and piled up on the wins on TV....Then got involved in a fued with the Nation of Domination...This fued gave him national exposure and lots of experience...Took on the leader of the NOD, Faarooq, and won at the Clash of the Champions 15 on July 8,1999....Followed that up with a huge win over the 400 lb Mark Henry at Starrcade 9 on ppv in July...Lost an important match in his first Summerslam appearance to Jeff Jarrett on 8-22-99....Slowly other gothic characters started appearing and he finally joined forces with the men who were to become Gangrel and his brother Christian...Started teaming exclusively with Gangrel and lost a big match to the New Age Outlaws at the Great American Bash ppv in Sept of that year...Continued to fued with the NOD as the BROOD...The three members of the Brood teamed with Undertaker and Ken Shamrock in a ten man tag vs. the NOD at Halloween Havok in October 99 and scored a huge win....Edge and Gangrel focused on the Tag Team titles for the rest of the winter but couldn't get a grasp on them....Lost a 4 way tag title match at Survivor Series with other teams such as the Headbangers, New Age Outlaws and the champs, Kane/Mankind...it was that 4 way match which would be the debut of one of Edge's biggest rivals later, the Hardy Boyz...the Hardyz came from the crowd and caused some chaos and the finish of the match...Edge and Gangrel had a huge win at Armageddon in Dec, over RVD and Sabu...Early the next year, the trio went head to head with another trio, the FLOCK, led by Raven...At Wrestlemania XIV on 3-19-00, the Brood took on Raven/Kidman and Brian Pillman in a huge 6 man tag...the Brood walked away with a huge win...The duo of Edge/Gangrel started winning a lot and had a great fued with Val Venis/The Godfather...they met in an 8 man tag at Clash of the Champs 17 in April 2000 when Edge/Gangre/Hardy Boyz took on and lost to the team of RVD/Sabu/Godfather and Val Venis...Edge and Gangrel won the rematch with Val and Godfather the next month at Backlash...For the first time in WWFtoyz history, each member of a stable held gold...After Edge defeated Franchise for the IC title, Edge held IC gold, Gangrel held Hardcore gold while Christian held the Lightheavyweight title....the three Champs took on members of the Ministry at Judgement Day in May, Acolytes and Midian and won...They fueded with the Ministry for many months until the dreaded match at King of the Ring. It was a ten man tag match where Edge/Gangrel/Too Cool and Kane took on Undertaker/Acolytes/Midian and Viscera. At the end of the match, the lights went out, came on with a mystery man in the ring, BLAIR DUSK, and then Gangrel turned on Edge and impaled him helping the Ministry win, and ending the Brood...Blair Dusk and Gangrel fueded with Edge/Christian and met each other in a tag match at Fully Loaded with Edge/Christian winning.....E+C got Blair Dusk to join their side and the 3 of them took on Hardyz and Gangrel at Summerslam 2000...it was Edge's second Summerslam...and second loss at summerslam tooo...Edge and Christian got revenge by beating the Hardy Boyz at Unforgiven in September 2000...The duo entered the Terri Invitational Tournament along with the Hardyz, in which the winning team would be managed by Terri...In the best of 5 series with the Hardyz, the Hardyz walked away with the wins and the manager service of Terri...The finals took place at the Royal Rumble 2001 and the Hardyz won the big match...Edge/Christian won the biggest match of their carears at Wrestlemania in March by beating Dudley Boyz, Hardy Boyz and RVD/Sabu in a four way....even tho it was tainted due to interference by their friends, Kronik...Kronik persuaded Edge/Christian to turn against the fans and they did...they also teamed with Kronik at Backlash and won a huge 8 man tag match over the team of the Dudleyz/Hardyz...Teamed with their real life friend, Kurt Angle at Judgement Day in may and won their match over Mankind/RVD/Sabu....Lost a 3 way tag match at Clash of the Champs on JUNE 29th to Leviathan/Gangrel and also involved the Hardyz...Teamed with Kurt Angle again at Fully Loaded and this time lost their 6 man tag team match against Cactus Jack/Leviathan/Gangrel....E+C lost an important #1 contendor 4 way match to the Hardy Boyz, also involving Sean O'Haire/Mark Jindrak and Mikey Whipreck/Tajiri....Fought and beat Kronik several times on Raw and Smackdown....Won a #1 contendor match over the former champs, Mikey Whipreck/Tajiri at No Way Out in Feb 02....Lost a Three way title match to the champs of the Hardy Boyz and Whipreck/Tajiri at Edge's third wrestlemania appearance on 3-10-02....Teamed with Psychosis and won their match over Hurricane/Super Crazy/ and Nova at Clash of the Champs "Legendz" on 3-21-02...since then, they have yet to do much as a team due to lack of new teams to compete against...we hope they will stick with it and continue their treck for the gold.....THIS WAS FOR CRYS< CUZ SHE LIKES EDGEYPOOH.... |
