The Three Jeans - December 2002

December in the northwest is iffy at best when it comes to boating, but Scotty and Van Dossey, a friend of many years in the rental industry, did their best to avoid rough seas and spend several days cruising.

Port Townsend was a destination but the combination of fog and high winds shortened the trip to having lunch at Coupeville and then staying in the marina overnight at Oak Harbor. Other places visited were La Conner and Friday Harbor.

With the wind making it difficult to even enter the berth at Anacortes, it was decided to continue the tour by car the next day. Surprisingly, the flight home was smooth.

Toward the end of the month Steph Brooks, of Brooks Fabricating, emailed two photos showing the completion of the cargo mast and other items. The Three Jeans is starting to look more and more like a tugboat!.
