Guitars multiply like tatoos. I had 7 at one point but sold 6 of them recently. The only one I kept is pictured here. It is a Kamouraska 160N. No, I never heard of them either, and found this gem by accident. It was $300 bucks and has a solid top. It was handmade in Canada. The company does not exist anymore. I dumped another $100 bucks into it and had some frets filed. It doesnt buzz on any note and the octaves are in tune all the way up the neck ! My only complaint is the volume. I like Julian Breem alot and like to play with a "nailsy" sound also, but I can't push this baby too hard, the volume only goes up to about 7. Another great quality is the size of the neck, thinner than average.
I can't wait until Taylor puts out a full body classical, if they do it will be my next.
I hate background music on websites and I will not do that to my visitors, all 3 of ya! My classical tastes are focused on one composer right now, J.S. Bach, hence the background. He's so kewl. I was in a few bands, playing everthing from thrash metal ( slayer ) to Firehose ( not firehouse, that lame rock band ). I also had a jazzy funk band, or whatever you might call it. But currently I find classical stuff more interesting.

Well, I am running out of room on this freebie webservice.
So I won't be able to post any more songs unless I upgrade, which I am thinking about............................
My new Esteve 1GR07 !!!

No matter how much I tried to bribe Taylor guitars, they will not make a full body solid top. So I went to the music stores every day for about 8 days straight and played EVERY classical guitar for sale.

I learned alot. There are 3 things to look out for when buying a guitar.

1. Sound
2. Feel
3. Construction

When you get into the $700 - $1000 dollar range should expect good construction. The sound of course is different depending on the type of wood used. What I discovered is that the better construction produces a more even tone. Highs, mids and lows are all leveled out. So it is up to the player to decide what guitar sounds best to
them.

I narrowed my choices down to 2, this Esteve and a Ramirez. The Ramirez had a more balanced overall tone, but I thought the Esteve had more "personality."

I would like to play the same Bouree with this guitar and post it so people can hear the differences between the guitars. But, I will either need to upgrade this site or erase something else..............

New guitars are like new cars. They smell so good. Well, if you like the smell of wood anyway.

Hrmm, I can't tell one classical guitar from another, they all look the same !
( I didn't say that ) ^
