Time

What can I do in my spare time,
When I haven't got you?
While away the hours, thinking of nothing,
And everything - only you.
Lost in space, and time, and dreaming,
Of the next time I'll see you.
Yearning for the next bright morning,
When it arrives, slowly
Covering every inch of you with my eyes,
Digging in my heels,
Screaming on the inside, vainly trying to hold back,
The hands of time.

Drink

I took a sip of you,
But it wasn't enough,
I want to take you in,
Drink to the bottom of the cup.

You took a part of me,
But somehow made me whole,
When you put your arms around me,
You devoured my soul.

I want to let you smash my heart,
I surrender to your will,
You only tried to save my mind,
But you made my heart beat ill.
Card Game

Ever feel like a house of cards?
The slightest disturbance,
And everything will come crashing down,
White shapes fluttering by,
A silent explosion of chaos.
Then you have to start again,
Building yourself up from the bottom,
Only to be knocked down again,
Not by an inconsiderate fool,
But by the love of your life,
Who leaves you bust and scattered;
Instead of flush, you're out.
Life's not always black, and white,
And red.
Please

Please,
Don't let anything change.
I'd shatter and die,
If I lost you as a friend.
I'd merely be a little girl,
Confused, and falling,
In a big, bad world.

Please,
Don't let anything change.
I need you strong foundations
To lay my life upon.
With you as my solid base,
And me rising above,
We can both be strong.

So please,
Don't let anything change.
For both our sakes.
