| HOME GYM TRAINING | |||||||
| Setting up a Home Gym I quit training in a commercial gym years ago and started training at home i will never go back.The first thing that it helped me to center my workout around the basics.For example i didn`t have access to a lat machine which forced me back to doing chins off the rafters in my garage i noticed an extra thichness to my lats and bicips because of this.Right now my training is centered around the big compound excercises squats,benchpress,deadlifts,dips and chins.With a few extra`s added in like chains,bungee`s,thick bar training. Another thing about home gym training is it makes you more creative with your workouts.You don`t have the latest hammer strength machine to target that bodypart so you have to experiment to figure out how to work that bodypart. Some things you need to look at are how are you going to your excercises safely?That is where a power rack comes in.This is the first thing you should buy.Along with a good heavy-duty multipurpose bench.This will allow you to train your total body in safety.You could also look at a safety rack or safety bench there are some good ones out there.I built my multipurpose bench out of wood after warping and breaking the ones i bought at sporting goods stores.This bench is solid and built to fit me. The Starter Home Gym 1-Power rack 2-Multi-purpose bench 3-300lb olympic weight set 4-Plate Tree with this you should be able to train your whole body in safety Some Things to Add later 1-200lbs of standard plates and Db Handles (enough to make 2-100lb DBs) 2-EZ curl bar 3-More Olympic plates 4-Chains,Bands,Bungees(these have unlimited uses for somebody who trains in a home gym) 5-Any Type of specialty equipment you might want(leg press,Leverage type of equipment,Lat machine,Reverse Hyper,the list here is endless for your wish list) 6-Thickbars,Grip training equipment,kegs,sandbags,ect. |
