Okay, disclaimers: The Nightcrawler Sprites were provided by Sonikita (Zach Thomas). Beast was ripped by Scorcher, Wolverine and Storm by DaXxX. Mystique was done courtesy of InterNutter, I believe. I got all sprite templates off of Nightscrawlers.com, (uploaded by InterNutter) but the scenery I made myself. It's MINE, dammit!

Comic #2
The obligatory "bad" first comic: no joke, no punchline. Unless you count Mystique staring at Nightcrawler's butt a punchline.
So I opened with the "Oh no, I'm trapped in a Sprite Comic!" shtick, (a la
X-MEC), but hopefully I presented it differently enough.
Okay, this punchline is not much better. You see, Mystique's sprite, I believe, was ripped from a game of some sort. And the Wonderful InterNutter, who did the ripping, decided not to edit the fans out.
These gags are for you, 'Nutter.

And the first comic that is actually funny. Sort of.
Apparently, Mystique is something of an abusive mother. Perhaps it's the stress.

This one and the next were done after Strip #5, 'cuz I decided I hadn't run the gag dry yet.
Poor Mystique ... she's already fuzzy from the resizing, and rotating her into falling back didn't help.
And we
still don't know how those things are attached.
Mystique's sprite is actually only holding one fan, but the joke just wouldn't work if she had a free hand to do her ass-scratching and fridge-opening with. So I cleverly edited in a second fan and will continue to do so until I find a reason for her to lose it.

Comic #4
Comic #5
The first appearrance of Beast! If I didn't know better, I'd say he had a thing for Mystique.

Too bad the feeling doesn't seem to be mutual.
Comic #6
Alas, poor Thunderbird! He's not off to a very good start.

The yellow walls do wonders for the blue Sprites, but I think I'll avoid them where Mystique is concerned. It makes her fans far too hard to see.
