Here at Iron Rod Arabians we feel it is important to train each horse with patience, kindness, and with a gentle hand.

Round Pen Training: Essential foundation training starts in the round pen. The round pen is a great tool to start controlling movements and begin developing the foundation for a partnership between you and your horse.

Arena Work: We will start from the ground, then progress to the saddle. We will be working on giving to the bit, Yield to pressure, Emotional Control, Directional Control, Responsive Riding, Dealing with Fear, Collected Stops, and More.

Trail Riding: We will take everything we learned in the arena to the trails. Problem solving on the trail will include Jigging, Crossing Obstacles, Spooking, Trailer Loading and More.

We specialize in Halter breaking, Trailer breaking, Western Trail Riding, Endurance Riding, Show Halter Training, and Sport Horse Training. Please contact us with your questions, concerns, and ideas.

Haap Ibn Farrago, "Max" is owned by Windsong Sabino Arabians and was sent to us for breaking and trail training. This wonderful Sabino Arabian Stallion has a lot of heart and always wants to please. Steve and Max competed in the "Land of the Neversweats Ride" in May 05.

BKA Shaliiq "Black" is a beautiful 16 hand, very correct, Straight Egyptian Stallion. He is owned by Dark Side Arabians and was sent to us for breaking and trail training. This Gerogous. Athletic Stallion has tons of personality and always kept us on our toes.

RR Torrabba "Robbie" is owned by High Desert Arabians and is half brother to our Stallion His Benevolence. This beautiful colt wasn't handled much as a foal and was sent to us for halter, trailer, and then Sport Horse training. Robbie has awesome bone, a great hip and shoulder, and a Very Loving Personality. Robbie is FOR SALE. Click on his name or email me for more information.

Spirit was also sent to us from High Desert Arabians. This beautiful Appy mare had just turned five and was a Joy to have. She has the kindest personality and she "Longed" to be out on the trail with the "Other Horses". Spirit is on her way to becoming an excellent Western Pleasure/Trail Horse.
