Retired Shots

The Bob Bastard Box, (Created by Steve and Brandon) Now a two-sided garden box due to decay, the wicket lay in the corner forcing players to back out the way they came in. Originally, a ramp was used to get in and out, when the box was complete. The box was destroyed because no one ever used it! Some hotshots got out without using the ramp or breaking the box, but others bashed it to kingdom come. Eventually, the Box fell completely apart and later became the Petrified Forest shot.

Frog Shot, (Created by Steve) Previously, the shot involved a plastic frog we had placed behind a wicket, and when you went though, the frog would get knocked over. Unfortunately the frog got hit a little too hard and couldn't be used anymore. A survivor of massive chest damage, the Frog is now just a spectator on the Frog Pond Shot.

The Roof Shot, (Created by Steve) This was the old starting point of the course. You started at the top of my roof and shot downhill, trying to land the ball in the rain gutter and through the wicket. Then the dangerous part came when you fired the ball off the roof onto the grass below. This was a tad dangerous and we discontinued the shot when Jon fell off the roof and had to have knee surgery!

Shed Happens, (Created by Brandon and Nathan) Get lost in shed, avoiding garden tools, and the like. A few players have got stuck in them, and lost due to them. Examples being shot-hater, Ben Lasher. Ben got his wish when the shed became too crowded to do the shot and eventually got a wooden floor making it impossible to do the shot anymore.

Strawberry Fields Forever, (Created by Brandon) Located behind the deck, you have to avoid get stuck in a "strawberry bush" and make you way through the shot. This shot was quickly retired when the "strawberries" where destroyed to place a garden box in its place.

Truck Under, (Created by Brandon) Hit your ball under a parked truck, next to a chain link fence. Hit too hard and you'll end up in the street...too soft, under the truck somewhere, forcing you to get down on all fours or squeeze between the fence to reach your ball. This is a retired shot, due to the risk of damage to the truck, which would be bad!

The Raspberry, (Created by Brandon) From the deck to the far side of the yard, to the utility box, and our raspberry bush. Hit too hard, get lost in the rough. The Raspberries died though and this shot went away.

Tired yet?, (Created by Ben) A new shot, in a walk way between house and fence. Four tires are set up, two against the fence, two against the house, with a slim corridor between. With bad aim, players will be deflected. The tires were sold, so a new shot was devised with smaller tires.

Blocks, (Created by Ben) Much like the "Tired yet?" shot, but with cinder blocks used instead, placed at an angles for complexity. The blocks were destoyed and eventually became the shot the Ruins.
