The News for those few who play real croquet! September 23, 1999

Alan won, but Mike became the Spam King of 1999. Also, Kristy became the first female
player in I.M.C. history to earn a point, in this late night battle.
Nathan, closet Amish person, shunned the evil technology of a flash light and couldn't
see the ball, which caused him to fall from 2nd to 5th . He had this to say, "The
yellow ball is truly cursed, I got screwed!" Some debate still stands if it was the
balls fault or his anti-technology ways.
Kristy continued her anti-Steve campaign, but mistook Brandon for him at one point,
costing Brandon a decent finish.

The IMC Tournament of Champions is Saturday, October 2nd. This is the final Major, and last Tourney of the season! All players who finished first place in any official tournament are invited. It will start at 10:00 am at Mike's course. The next round will be at Steve's course. The final round will be played at the legendary Lasher course. Prepare for all day Croquet action! That is the season and we will celebrate our greatness at a awards party sometime in November or December.
Now that Ironman Croquet has become an international phenomenon, the sport needs to be promoted around the world. So that is why Commissioner Brandon Lasher has issued the following statement about promoting the sport in Foreign Lands, like last month's trip to Florida. "The sport of Ironman Croquet needs players who have international appeal, that won't embarrass us on promotion tours with childish antics. This excludes the human players in the league. The croquet balls will promote this sport!" Yes, the true stars of the sport, the croquet balls, will receive all-expenses paid vacations to travel around the world. They will be using the league's funds in hope of adding more players to the sport. The first promotion tour was to Disneyworld and the Orange Croquet Ball did the sport proud. (Brandon and Ben were there too) Sure it was almost killed by a hurricane but it was a good time for all. Another of our fine croquet balls will be traveling to Vegas with Mike and Kristy. Hopefully more promotion tours will follow. Look for more of the Ironman Croquet Balls Promotion Tour coming soon on the Lasher web site at http://members.xoom.com/zernic/croquet/balls.html![]()
