Cough Course: Home of the Spam Open and Mike's Marvel Open Invitational

Brick Hut!, (Created by Steve and Brandon) For some reason, Mike had a bunch of bricks lying near the side of his house. So Steve and I thought up the idea to make a cute little brick house and place the wicket in the middle. The problem of the hut is it is so narrow we normally have a player's croquet balls get in a sort of conga line going thru.

Chair Shot II: The Chair Strike Back, (Created by Steve) The only shot in Mike's backyard. After going by some of the stuff in Mike's backyard, you come across his two chairs placed side to side. Most players can't go thru the narrow opening in the chairs and have to spend valuable time going around to get in. It ain't your typical Scott Chair Shot.

Circle of Balls, (Created by Mike) Where Gram Canyon used to be is this shot. Using multiple basketballs, you surround the wicket. Since it will be nearly impossible to get in normally, you have to move the basketballs with your ball which has enough force to screw up your game and your opponents. Gram Canyon, (Created by Steve and Brandon) For a reason that is beyond me, near Mike's dying tree is a strange dirt hill. It starts really low and you have to shoot up in the narrow wicket to go through. It takes a lot of time to line it up at the bottom of the hill as it normally rolls into the street (a reoccuring theme). Ben really hates this shot as he and many other players just miss their shot and their ball rolls back to were they start over and over again.

Hose Bag Sprinkler Shot, (Created by Mike) A mix of the Hose Bag and Sprinkler Shot, this shot is placed at the top of Mike's slantly frontyard. This is another hole were players end up in the street. If you finally make it in a position were you can shoot it, it normally gets stuck in the hose or barely moves because of the wet ground.

Mailbox of Doom!, (Created by Mike and Brandon) Mike took an old mailbox he found and turned it into this tricky shot. You have to find a way to get into the door portion of the mailbox ( very hard until Alan smashed it down so we could get on it) and shoot thru the mailbox to the ring placed right behind the end of the mailbox, which is taken out....so the ball can roll down another hill.

Neon Pink Bunny Shot, (Created by Mike) In celebration of Easter 2000, Mike created this shot. A white wire bunny with pink lights you have to go through the bunny's stomach were the wicket is. Only a straight shot will do, otherwise you might get stuck in the wires like Kyle and proceed to destroy it. Pool Table Shot, (Created by Mike) This is the starting point for Mike's course. A upside down pop can is placed in a corner pocket (the can being used as a tee). Then you try to navigate your ball avoiding pool balls and falling in other pockets. You are aiming for the pocket with the bottom removed and as you shoot thru the pocket you fall thru the wicket and hopefully won't bounce on the garage pavement and roll into the street. ( Starting to see a trend?)

Torched Tree, (Created by Ben and Brandon) If you don't fall in the street from the Pool Table Shot you try to get near Mike healthy tree in this shot. The shot is placed between a dirt part near the tree and next to a cardboard cutout of The Human Torch. It sounds easy but you can easily overshoot to the right or left and once again roll into the street.

Utility Fun, (Created by Brandon) Usually the final shot in this course, in between two city water meter boxes is a thin area where the ring is placed. As is the danger in other shots on this course, you can easily roll on the cement into the street. The best way to do this shot is to go above the wicket and roll down beneath it. Try not to get stuck inside the water meter box like Ben did in the Tournament of Champions.
