The 2005 Ironman Croquet League Awards on November 13, 2005

Yes, we celebrated those gifted few who were sad enough to give up weekends to play Ironman Croquet! Seven of this year's players attended the Sunday afternoon awards party. The awards occured at the Round Table Pizza party room for food and then to give the awards, trophies, and talk about the next season.

This award ceremony had the first ever Nathan Cole Pansy award, which was given to the wimpest player of the year. Steve Roberts wimped out of the second round of the Tour Championship and was given the honors.

Steve Roberts additionally won the moment of the year for his amazing shot to steal fifth place from Steve Unfred at the 2005 Mike's Marvel. He shocked the croquet world by winning IMC Rookie of the Year. This was despite the Internet campaign to award it to the much more deserving Kyle Stevenson.

Ben Lasher and Mike Cough shared the Scott Balthrop Shotmaker's Award for the insanely difficult Basketball Hoop Shot at the Pez Invitational. Ben, Mike, and Brandon won their usual Perfect Attendance Award but where joined by Alena Woicicki. She became the first female player to play every event this season. She additionally claimed Most Improved.

Nathan was the big winner of the day. He claimed the Jon Crawford Average Award, Lamest Reason for Missing an Event, and Player of the Year. As Mike handed over the Player trophy, he claimed he would return to his "gimmick" from 1999. The gimmick that produced him very few wins. Yeah Mike! Thus ending a memorable seventh season of Ironman Croquet.
