Eric Smith
Eric Smith is Reginald Bushroot's closest friend. They first met after Bushroot saved Eric's life following a car accident not long after his move to St. Canard from his native Canada. Eric recently repaid his debt to Bushroot by taking part in a blood transfusion to save Bushroot's father's life. He is also responsible for making a hockey fan out of Reginald.
Reginald Bushroot
Reginald Bushroot is the former research scientist who transformed himself into a half-plant, half-duck during an experiment. He lived a lonely existence for a long time, turning to crime and the company of the Fearsome Five out of desperation for friendship. He first encountered Eric Smith when he saved him from a car wreck one night. Bushroot spent 18 years estranged from his parents, mainly his father, because of his love for plants and desire to be a botanist, against the wishes of his father and mother. Sadly, Bushroot's mother passed away, but Reginald has made up with his father after his life was saved by Eric's blood donation. Today, his criminal past forgotten, he lives in his greenhouse, and looks forward to the day when he will be accepted by society.
