Shaka: The famed general of South Africas Zulu nation. Shaka: The Silent Saint of Virtue of Japanese Buddhism. Shaka: The living enigma of Iron Man Championship Wrestling. Since debuting for Philadelphia based SCW on Sept. 18th of 1998, very little is known about this arcane agent of Risky Business Ronnie Raines, who seems to enjoy being shrouded in secrecy.
Once an opponent steps into the ring with this dichotomy of violence and virtue, however, the poor soul learns very quickly everything he needs to know about Shaka. Hes fast, skilled, agile, and strong which, in turn, makes him very hard to defeat. Thats a fact that former WWF and WCW superstar, the Patriot, can attest to after he faced off against Shaka in a Flag versus Flag Lumberjack match on June 10th of 2001 at Fun Days Fight Fest in Boyertown, PA. Shakas wrestling style is heavily influenced by but not limited to lucha libre and puroresu, arming the Warlord of the Void with a large arsenal of offensive maneuvers such as the Karma Bomb, Karma Spike, and the Chakra Moonsault. It was with this vast array of wrestling techniques that Shaka captured the CWF Tag Team Championships with Brickwall Bradley
as well as the RAW No-Holds Barred title, which he regards as his greatest wrestling accomplishments.
Despite his palpable physical talent, Shaka contributes his success to his philosophies as well as his physicality. The philosophical teachings of Miyamoto Musahsi and Budda are powerful wells from which Shaka draws his powers. Whether Shaka equates himself to Siva, the Hindu Lord of Destruction, or simply looks to him for strength and inspiration, no one may ever know. What is known, however, is that Shaka is truly a dominating force in Iron Man Championship Wrestling.
