Iron Man Championship Wrestling Holds Its Second Show
by Stevie Rory
Staff Writer

READING, Pennsylvania - On Saturday, March 9th, 2002, Iron Man Championship Wrestling invaded the Olivets Youth Center in Downtown Reading, Pennsylvania. This was to be IMCW's second ever official show and what a show it was! Ever since PCW closed it doors just a few short months ago, the people of Reading were hungry for Earth shattering suplexes, bone breaking body slams, and all out wrestling excitement. Iron Man delivered! The great Reading wrestling fans in attendance got to see an over-the-top-rope Battle Royal and the "Olympian Strongman" Dave Patera defend his IMCW Junior Transworld title again the "Puerto Rican Sensation" Rico Suave Jr. The Reading return of the six-time Welterweight champion, "Dirty Deeds" Darren Wyse occured March 9th. And in a phenomenal main event, local hero Buck Wylde took on "Mean" Mark Mest and the "Outlaw" Max Crimson of the Intimidators!

What made the event so special was not only did it mark the return of professional wrestling to the Reading area, but all proceeds of the event went to benefit the Olivets Youth Center. Thanks to Iron Man Championship Wrestling and all of the outstanding fans of Reading, over $3000 were collected to help the boys and girls of Reading have a better, brighter tomorrow.

"I was absolutely amazed by the great outpouring of support by the people of Reading for the Olivets Youth Center," IMCW President Drew Templar was quoted as saying about Iron Incursion 2002. "The fans here in Reading were beyond description! They were loud, they were excited, and they really came through! When I had heard how much was raised, I couldn't have been more proud. And when the great athletes of IMCW heard, they went out there and put on the best show of their lives."

When asked about the return of IMCW to the Reading area, "Risky Business" Ronnie Raines said, "It'll be a cold day in hell before Risky Business, Inc. comes back to this backwater 'burg!"

President Templar, however, waved off Mr. Raines' rude remarks. "He's just a little upset that he and his boys couldn't cheat their way to victory tonight. I will tell you this, though. If we ever get invited back to Reading (and from the rave reviews I've been hearing from the fans on their way out, I'm sure we will), everyone here in IMCW will do it in a heartbeat! Tonight was an honor and a privilege."
