BRAKES
Extended brake lines
Kinda funny ain't it! Seems like we always have so much trouble trying to get the durn thing to GO, why worry about trying to stop it!
But brakes do come in handy at times. They do need to be kept in good shape. Again, water and mud can wear out a brand new set quickly. Not much that can be done to the brakes besides regular replacement of pads and shoes. Not without getting into custom oversized rotors, materials, rims, etc. That's the kind of stuff that takes a "Sponsor" to have done.
But as long as your braking system is working the way it is intended, then it should perform fine in the woods also.
(TIP: Get a bunch of tie wraps or some wire and crawl underneath your truck. Trace the entire set of brake lines down. Anywhere they are NOT flush up against something, use the wire to pull them down tight. They are bendable if done gently. After this, NO worries about a branch or whatever might be in the bottom of the hole getting caught on and ripping a brake line loose!)
