| The Heart-Attack
Megan Are you kidding me! My eyes were all red and watery! I tried to keep myself from crying but it was impossible. I couldn�t believe my grandpa was in the hospital. My friend Allyson was over and we were eating pizza for dinner and watching Full House. My mom had called me into the kitchen she had told me that my grandpa was in the hospital. Allyson and I had been laughing our heads off, but I went back into my room crying. Allyson�s smile went right off her face. �What�s wrong? � she asked me. I told that my Grandpa Ski was in the hospital. It was about time for Allyson to leave shortly after anyway. My mom had gotten another phone call later. The doctors had to do open heart surgery. My mom told me that not many people live through it especially older people. We got another phone call later on. We were all scared to answer it. It was my uncle. He told us my grandpa had made it through the surgery. I jumped up and down. My uncle said that he could go any time though. I felt happy, nervous, and scared all at the same time. My uncle also told us that my grandpa couldn�t live by himself. My grandpa would have to go live in Cincinnati, Ohio with my uncle. Oh boy! The tears came right out of me like a waterfall because he wouldn�t make it to my birthday party. A few weeks later we got anOther phone call. Oh boy, I sighed. My Grandpa Ski decided to stay right here in Carpentersville where he lives now. He was sure that he would come to my party. (I am glad he is doing better so many emotions in one whole week.) With that heart attack tragedy, there was so much suspense that week I didn�t know that there were so many emotions in me. I am glad right now and hopefully it will stay this way because my grandpa is just fine right now. |
| Spider Man� The Ride
Mady When I got on the Spiderman ride I was very excited. When I get excited, boy, do I get hyper! This was going to be an awesome ride. When I was getting on the ride, I was thinking about how my mom, dad, sister, and I would be sitting. I wondered what we would we were going to see or hear. I was thinking to myself that this was going to be one of the best rides ever! When we finally got on the ride, we had to wear 3-D glasses. I was very nervous and I had butterflies in my stomach. My family and I had to sit in a car and we had no seatbelts. It was very exciting! You drive around very fast and watch a short little movie. The people who created the ride made the ride so real that when they throw a fireball at you can really feel heat! When water comes at you, you can feel that too! I was feeling very excited when the ride was going on. During some parts I was a little scared because there were some weird looking people. It was so cool how they showed parts of the Spiderman movie. Also, it was awesome how the characters in the movie popped out at you. During the end of the ride, you are falling down to the ground, but Spiderman propels you back up with his web. The ride made me nervous but I was very excited as welI was so excited because Spiderman was one of the best rides of all time. |
