Thanks For This Miracle

Such a miracle
to meet you
to know you
to look in your eyes
and no longer see her~
the she I used to be
to finally recognize myself
humbled
but never lowly
found
yet never lost
and to not need
or even want
to turn away in shame
no need to run
but to stand my ground
on my knees
as I obey
and lift you up.
Such a miracle
that in the midst
of my journey
here at the beginning
of meeting you
of knowing you
I see
I am becoming
the me I was always meant to be
and I thank you
for this.
