There were things I could have said ~
cruel words to make you cry
vicious revelations to crush your pride
merciless truths to break your heart.

There were things I should have said ~
how you betrayed my loyalty
how you rejected my acceptance
how you hated my love.

There were things I would have said ~
forgive me
forgive you
forgive us.

But I didn�t.
