I built these cold, hard walls
to keep others from seeing inside.
They protected me from my lifes pain
gave me a place to hide.
But not theyre closing in.
Im lost in the darkness within
Ive lost my vision
here in this prison.
Take them down
stone by stone
Im so lost and alone
I forgot who Im supposed to be
and I just want to be free.
Light from your window
shadows flicker on my walls
Distant reminders of who I was before the fall.
Images I can hardly see
of someone who looks a lot like me
Ive lost my vision
here in this prison.
Take them down
stone by stone
Im so lost and alone
I forgot who Im supposed to be
and I just want to be free.
You hold out your hand so tender.
I see your scars and I remember
whose I am
and that you can.
Take them down
stone by stone
I was never lost nor alone
I just forgot who Im supposed to be
and that youve already set me free.
