For cs1101's second assignment, we were assigned to use six free web hosting sites, such as this one and write a review on it. The review will consist of many parts such as, internal html editor, the ability to access the site with a program such as Microsoft Homepage, the download speed of the website and registration process.

Regestration
The regestration process was straight forward and easy. In five minutes I was working on my site. The Url they give is also very easy to remember, (your username after geocities.com ). Overall process didn't ask for any creditcard details and seemed very realiable getting 100%.
IDE Access
I was able to access my website and edit it through Microsoft Frontpage, so this scores 100%.
Shopping
Shopping is available from Geocities but you have to pay for the service. This is why it only scores 2.5 out of 5.

The download times are all very reasonable. This means that the server that the site is hosted on is good one.
Junk-mail Recieved
I recieved no junk mail in the e-mail account I used for the regestration. This is very good as many "free" services often involve spam or spyware sent or installed.
Components added
Components added to my site gets 3.5 out of 5 as there are ads added to my site. They consist of a bar added on the right hand side of the site advertising various services offered by Yahoo. This bar however can be minimised, which makes the site virtually ad free.
