Musket and Bayonet - the most important piece of kit of a soldier - we are using the M1728 musket available widely in repro form and a suitable bayonet/scabbard and musket sling - check with the nco if you wish to use another musket while you get your clothing and other essentials. Also you'll need spare flints, a small bottle of oil, cloth for musket cleaning and a screwdriver |

Sac - This is a large waterproof canvas rucksack that can be used for sleeping in or on depending on the weather - in approved French style - useful also is a blanket. Giberne-regulation shoulder style cartridge box |
