Uniforms of  the Regiments

Personal belongings These are the items of everyday use such as flint and steel, pipe, tobacco, playing cards, folding knife, dice, pencil and paper if you are literate. Money, and keys will be kept in a soldier's pack .A sewing kit is also useful for small repairs.
Cocked Hat-Standard issue cocked hat laced in false silver or gold lace.Please do not order pre-made.The unit makes it's own hats!Cockade shall be white if on European service
Hair is to be worn in the style of the time - long and in a queue - if you don't have long hair a wig must be worn in the usual mid-eighteenth military style. Beards are not permitted, moustaches are.
Justaucorps-Wool Coat is Red faced with appropriate color cuffs.
Shirt-a plain 18th Century military,linen or cotton shirt is acceptable.No ruffles for enlisted ranks.

Gilet- Wool waistcoat complete with sleeves per period French army styles.Pewter or brass buttons
Breeches-Wool with Fly front.Drop front is for a later period and are not appropriate.
Buttons & Lace-The coat has pewter or brass buttons and buttonholes are trimmed with a small amount of white lace
Note-Tails of the Regimental coat are worn hooked back in the position of the march for all enlisted personel unless otherwise stated by the company sergeant.
White Gaitors-Heavy linen fastened with bone buttons.Notice the length and fit.This item must be tailored to the soldier's leg.Held up with a leather garter worn below the knee.
Stockings-Wool and worn Over the knee
Shoes-Proper reproductions of buckled 18th Century shoes and buckles are available from many suppliers.This is a must have item!Buckles must be of a plain variety.
