Crystianne, better known as Crys by most, was born and raised in New York City, where she and her family lived in an oversized brownstone. Her early years were, for the most part normal, though her mother, Bianca, tended to favor Jonathon, her older brother. As the years went by she and her mother grew more and more distant, something that hurt her deeply. She tried hard to earn her mother's affections, but to no avail.
On June 30, 1990 (her thirteenth birthday) her father was invloved in a car accident while on his way to purchase a last minute birthday gift for her. His death devistated Crys and after it she spent many hours locked away in her room alone. She often blamed herself for his accident, and her mother did as well. Eventually after two years of greiving she was able to partially move on with life, though it wasn't the same.
During high school, Crys began to perk back up. While there, she became a party girl, known for being wild and rebellious and fell into the party scene. Even with warnings from her brother, she still continued drinking and partying throughout high school, her grades continuing to suffer. Three months before she was to graduate, while her brother was away on a trip, her mother told Crys she had a week to pack what she could and move out. She was hardly given a reason, her mother telling her she was tired of the childish, illegal activities that Crys was involved in and how they were damaging the family name. Grateful to have a reason to leave home, she quickly moved in with her boyfriend at the time, Ham, though she led most to believe she was living with various female friends.
She left her possessions boxed up in her car, only taking what was necessary to live into Ham's. Living out her remaining three months in New York with him, she left NYC immediately after graduation, her brother convincing her to leave without telling anyone. Afraid to admit she had been dating his best friend, she agreed and left Ham without saying goodbye. She and Jonathon spent three months traveling the roads of the US together, their ultimate destination Santa Monica, California, where Crys had been accepted into a college. She and Jonathon grew even closer then they had been during the time on the road, and Crys soon fell back into parties and friends at school to escape. After graduating, she opened her own coffee shop, The Cup & Saucer, and has, for the most part, been happily working there since. |
