Our trip began in New York City, where we caught an El Al flight. Security was crazy. Because of my name, they questioned me for at least 20 minutes before giving me the green light to check my luggage. The flight was long (about 12 hours), but smooth.
This was our first real view of Jerusalem. With all of the hills and valleys, it really is beautiful.
Walking through the ancient gates to the old city was an amazing feeling. Note: The divets in the walls are actually bullet holes.
This is an ancient mosaic map of the old city. This is located in the ruins underneath the current buildings.
This is everyone looking at the Kotel. Behind everyone, you can see the mosque.
