Bernice A. (Bernie) McFarland, 89, of 4847 Edmonds Road, North Rose, N.Y., was called home to rest on Monday, July 18th, 2005, at Wayne County Nursing Home, Lyons, N.Y.
Born December 12th, 1915, in West Virginia, she was the widow of Clarence (Beanie) McFarland. She worked at Sagner Sewing Factory, Inc., in McConnellsburg, Pa. Mrs. McFarland spent many years in the Sodus, N.Y., area after moving up from McConnellsburg, Pa., in the late '70s. May God bless those of you who got to meet Bernie, she loved and cherished each and every one of you.
She is survived by daughter Marge (wife of Ray) Clevenger of North Rose, N.Y.; two sons, Earl and George McFarland of Breezewood, Pa.; and several beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She left many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Charles (Chuck) McFarland and John and Shirley McFarland, two brothers, Roy and James Phillips, and sister, Grace Phillips.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 23rd, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisonville, Pa., with Rev. Delmas Bard officiating. Interment will be at Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery, Needmore, Pa.
Visitation will be Friday, July 22nd, 2005, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisonville, Pa.
