Stitched on 14 count Navy aida.  Colours used were DMC.

O  321- Christmas Red
W  White
Backstitch State abbreviations, and french knots with one strand.  Everything else is two strands.

If you chose to stitch on a lighter fabric, substitute your favourite blue for the white, except in the flag.  Long stitches were used to do the stripes on the flags.  Take care to lay the threads properly for a nice look.
