Christmas Ornaments

Here are the Christmas Ornaments I have designed.  Just click on the picture of each to get to the chart!

New Century

I designed this ornament with the changing of the year in mind.  I thought about what I wished for my family in the next one thousand years and this is the result.  The moon signifies the passing of 1999 and the sun signifies the dawn of 2000.
New Century was stitched on 28 count Lugana, using DMC and Kreinik Braid.

Gaelic Christmas

This design came from my desire to honour my Irish heritage.  This ornament will be sent to my parents, who still live there.  The wording on the celtic cross, Nollaig Chridheil means Merry Christmas.  It reminds me a little of Belleek, which is not surprising since my parents have bought us a lot of Belleek pieces, so that was probably in my mind as I designed this.
Stitched on 36 count linen.

Noel

This is Noel.  This came from just doodling with my software!  I realised that the things inside the boxes looked like poinsettias, and Noel was born.  This ornament is destined for my sister in law.  Both this ornament and Gaelic Christmas were finished with velvet ornaments I got from Kim.  Her site is at Fabric2U. So if you want to finish these the same way, please let Kim know.  She's great to work with!
Stitched on 28 count linen.

Stitchers Christmas

This ornament is for all you stitchers out there and your friends.  It started out as a stitchers Christmas sampler and evolved into a scroll frame, then into a piece of work with floss lying on top. 
Stitched on 14 count aida.

Merry Christmas Mini Banner

This ornament started out as a mini sampler and evolved into this.  I like the holly and red bead berries!
