Hundreds of anti-fascists turned out in Dublin on February 14th 2009 to commemorate the life of Bob Doyle, the last surviving Irish volunteer in the International Brigade who passed away on January 22nd.

We heard with regret the passing away of the last veteran of the Connolly column Bob Doyle on January 22nd last. In remembrance of Bob and his comrades a march will take place on Saturday 14th February 2009 starting at the Garden of Remembrance at 12:00 and on to Liberty Hall where a wrath will be laid at the plaque remembering all the Irishmen who fell fighting fascism in Spain.

Battle of Cable Street 70th Anniversary Fest
October 4th 2006 marks the 70th anniversary of the peoples uprising against Mosley's British Union of fascists (BUF) and state forces sent to protect them in Cable Street, Londons East End. The fascists and cops were on the receiving end of a severe hiding that effectively ended the BUF as a force on the streets and humiliated the police with trapped units actually surrendering to the victorious anti-fascists.

To commemorate this famous victory an evening of Ska, Skinhead Reggae, Oi and Streetpunk will be held in Voodoo Lounge, Aaron Quay, Dublin on Saturday Sept 30th 2006. Bands billed to appear are Runnin'Riot, The Freebooters and Brigada Flores Magon. Also DJ sets with Roddy Moreno (The Oppressed), Colin (Runnin'Riot), Traycee (Dublin), Anke Buschperle (Mannheim) and Kingston Sounds (Limerick). From 8pm-3am Pasaran- �8

Celtic Wolves hunted down in Dublin
Click here to expand picture Saturday 3rd June saw a failed attempt by the cyber-nazi movement in Ireland, the so-called "Celtic Wolves", to emerge from behind their keyboards into the real world. AFA members rumbled their "national meeting" and the bewildered fash, far from being hostile witnesses, readily divulged their personal details to their interrogators before being chased back to their virtual Valhalla.

AFA Benefit Bohs FC, Dalymount Park 28th January

Big thanks to the Bohs support for organising the benefit with AFA. The night was a massive success with a huge turnout of AFA supporters new and old from all around the country and abroad. Thanks to Colin, Tracey and Roddy for keeping the feet stomping with a classic mix of Trojan, Ska, Oi and Original Reggae as promised. Hope all the hangovers cured by now!
