Bed and Breakfast (B&B) in an Irish home enables visitors to meet and mingle with Irish people in their communities, giving you the opportunity to experience the Irish way of life, creating memories that will last a lifetime. A wide range of accommodation is available in all areas of Ireland, throughout the countryside, in villages, towns and Cities. The range varies - Farmhouses, Modern Bungalows to Georgian Residences.
B&B is also the most economical accommodation in Ireland and visitors can make significant savings by pre-paying for Vouchers before leaving South Africa. All homes are approved as an Irish home to the standards of the Irish Tourist Board. Vouchers are acceptable at over 2,500 homes throughout Ireland including Northern Ireland. Vouchers are redeemable at members of the four main B&B Associations in Ireland. Town and Country Homes, Irish Farmhouses, NI + NI. Town and Country Homes have the largest number of B&Bs with over 1,700 and were formed in 1972. Their motto the Personal Touch underlies the fact that all members are committed to ensuring that guests experience hospitality and welcome in comfortable caring surroundings. B&B Vouchers can be left open to allow a completely flexible Go as you please holiday. A Town and country Homes colour illustrated directory is issued with vouchers. These vouchers, even if left open can be produced to immigration officials as proof that the traveller is a genuine tourist.
TYPES OF VOUCHERS
Vouchers can be purchased to include or exclude en-suite supplement. Standard vouchers cover a room without private facilities. En-suite vouchers cover a room with full private facilities, no extra charge is payable. Visitors are strongly advised to elect for en-suite vouchers as 95% of bedrooms have private facilities. The extra supplement charge on arrival in Ireland for clients to upgrade from Standard to en-suite is unpopular.
Voucher denominations are available for Double/Twin, Single, Triple and Child sharing with Adults.
RESERVATIONS
A system for pre-booking of accommodation in selected areas is available at a charge. However, reservations may not be changed and no refund is applicable in event of cancellation. Pre booking is strongly recommended in high season and all year for Dublin. Please note there is a seasonable supplement for Dublin City and County of E7.50 per room per night for June, July, August and September, payable by the client direst to the home, which applies where vouchers are left open or not.
