| Another young man lies dead in his grave, His killers have the nerve to call themselves brave, Though for God and Ulster they claim to stand, When they pulled the trigger their souls were damned. Young Daniel McColgan just wanted to live, He was so full of life and so much to give, Unlike his killers who have hearts of stone, And took his young life when he was alone. Have these evil men mothers, like me and you, And sisters and brothers and fathers too, Or were they born with a missing part, And does this mean the have no heart. They decided that morning Daniels life was to end, And no one could save him not even a friend, Daniel was worth a thousand of them, They're only a really sad excuse for men. Another family have been plunged into grief, Their beloved son and brothers life so precious, yet brief, We can only imagine their sorrow and pain, And wonder what anyone can possibly gain. Daniel or Dano he was affectionately known, Has now really had his cover blown, For you see he was picked by the Lord above, To D.J with the Angels and rain down love. He had to leave his sweetheart alone, To raise their daughter all on her own, Such plans between them they had made, But their love for Daniel will never fade. Cause Daniel left something behind, A gift such as Bethany would be hard to find, Dano we hope you find peace up there, But you'll never be forgotten by those who care. |
