Birth Of A Son
As love grows strong, a seed is sown. In the course of time, a child was born. And now their lives are filled with joy, For born to them was a baby boy. Richard Allen was the name they chose. He blossomed forth like a Summer Rose. To breathe lifes first breath of air, Without a worry, problem or care! Richard the Lion Hearted, Richard The Great. Who can predict this young one's fate? Will he be skillful, cunning and bold? Or possess knowledge more precious than gold? Written by~~Lagghorse1 for his first born Son. 3/18/67

Realization of time is a rather eye-opening revelation. This day I looked into the face of an aquaintance I have not seen in a rather long time. I noticed nature had painted lines upon that face, surely I must look the same. Where have we been that we never noticed these changes which now, are so apparent? Were we lost in yesterday, or were we lost in ourselves? Holding on to the past to keep us young, refusing to believe the clock on the wall marches us all toward the final day. We can not stop time, but we can realize, and use what we have learned as we travel this journey. First there is self-identity, this is needed to establish our very foundation as individuals. If we have no concept as to who we are and what we stand for, we shall have nothing to carry us forth. Second is to accept lifes lessons, for they teach us to be strong, and to discern right from wrong. Third and most important lesson of all, be attentive to the child within our spirits. If we allow that spirit to die, we cease to be. To achieve these things has taken a lifetime, at least for me. I am now past my youth, but a child no less. I still marvel at a rainy day, watching the droplets of water dance upon the leaves. I hear the melody of nature as the wind whisps through the trees. I am yet in awe of a sunshine filled day. I smell the sweet scent of the flowers that bloom. The Seasons, as they pass yet one-by-one have brought me to this moment called now. The face I see of a friend so dear is not so worn, it's just a reflection of a life so full. I cherish each line upon my face, for nature has smiled and has given me grace. Perhaps I don't walk quite as fast, but then again, life is not a race. I can still recall yesterday, but do not dwell in time past. I must live this day as if it were my last. If you see this face, accept my smile, and note the twinkle still in my eye. I shall look upon this life so grand and fill each moment along my way, with joy and laughter that comes from within..the child is there......how happy the sound, and a feeling profound.
