| Most of Yerevans bildings are used of a pink shade of "tuf" stone which is quried in Armenia. With everyones favorite museum in Yerevan is the Sergei Parajanov Museum, and also the National Art Gallery. Vernissage is the great weekend tourist bazar. They sell everything you can imagine that is hand made, old soviet souvenirs and things you will not find anywhere else. A street named Proshyan is better known as "Khorovadz Street" ( BBQ Street) for a good reason. The street is the perfect manifestation of the Armenian love affair whith shish kabab, with a almost every shop on the street being a barbeque restaurant, in Armenia khorovads is the perfect way to celebrate anyhing. In Haghtanak (Victory) Park is a park of fun and also memorris. the "Mother-Armenia" the tomb of the unknown Femail Soldier with a perpetual flame, The Museum of the World War II, and other ineresting thinkgs. The Statue of David of Sasun, it would be hard to find in modern Armenia aanother work of art, which has become so dear to the harts of the people and which is outstanding Armenian sculptor YervandKocar, hero of the national Armenia epos and liberator of his people form foregin invaders. Erected in the center of the square facing the railway station the statur of David of Sasun is such an integral part of the square that it seems to have been standing here for hundreds of years. Under yerevan it is a metros station with 10 stops, every 15 minuts. Berekamutyun (Friendshi) it is the last stop to teh north and takes you to teh "Komitas" neighborhood, the station is surrounded by a large underground shopping area that takes you in a circle allowing yo to crss the large intersevtons for the underground. Marshal Baghramyan this staton is in a park bext to the Parlianment and across form teh AUA. Yeritasardakan (Youth) located on Isahakyan near Abovyan. Hanrapetutyan Hraparak (Republic Square) located near Republic Square across form teh Mercedes dealership on Nalbandyan, this satation ihas a sunken underground founain, and is the same park where Vernisage is located. Zoravor Andranik this staton is right nest to "Kino Russia" a large movie theatre concerted into a market. It is also near the site where the National Cathedral is builted.
