n     Working as Project Manager for above stated project, worth Rs 458.567 Million of Infrastructural and Human Resource Development. Major objectives of project include Institution’s infrastructural Development (94850 sft), procurement of high-tech Equipment and Transport, and Sixteen (16) MS/PhD level trainings. Additionally taking care of project titled, ‘Construction of Visiting faculty hotel at IST’ worth. Rs 26.675.

Besides the assignment of Project Manager, performed additional responsibilities / tasks: -

n     Preparation three new unapproved project proposals for IST (Rs 933 M) and working as Foreign Faculty Focal Person – Head hunting, employment 7x PhDs under TTS and 8x Short Term, arranged Start-up & Research Grant, extension in their contract and financial / logistic support incurring financial benefits of Rs 50 M.

n     Indirect funding/ financial benefits of Rs 18.19 M through PERN, Travel Grant for Faculty Members, develop proposal and arranged International Seminar and other allied facilities.

n     Accreditation of IST form PEC and HEC and coordinated to prepare Charter / Ordinance / Re-promulgated  and Played leading role for all matters related with Govt. Functionaries, HEC, MoD, COMSTECH, MoIT, MoST, etc.

n     Assist Project Director  to convene technical committees and preparation of detailed specs, preparation of engineering estimates, RFP, BoQs  Advertisement, Bid opening process, Work Award, etc.

August  2006 – March 2008:

Program Officer: Planning & Development Department, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad (CIIT), Pakistan.

§    Worked as project officer for project titled “Provision of essential facilities at CIIT, Islamabad”. Project, worth Rs 480.351 million, of Infrastructural development. The plan developed basic infrastructure of H8/1, CIIT Islamabad campus, sent more than 20 personnel at International Universities and meet recurring budget of most of CIIT project staff.

§    Coordinated to Execute Engineering Faculty Development project at CIIT. Project, worth Rs 229 million, of Human Resource Development ranging from MS Level training in Engineering to basic literacy, skill building, specialized training, institution building. The programs trained more than 100 personnel in a time frame of two years for MS studies at International Universities. The training of this core group of personnel will sensitize the Government and society’s attitude towards Engineering and IT and will lead towards new revolution centered around information exchange.

§    Coordinated project team and prepared project proposal, to cater the future need of CIIT campuses of Islamabad, Sahiwal, Lahore, Attock, Abbotabad and Wah including, “Infrastructure Development of Permanent Campus of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Chak Shahzad, Islamabad”, worth 2.86 Billion, Post Earthquake Re-Construction / Rehabilitation of Civil Structure at COMSATS Institute of IT, Abbotabad (Revised), costing 39.630 and many unapproved projects worth more than 500 Millions.

§    Developed project Work plans and Cash plans, project proposals (PC-1) and monthly, quarterly and annually (PC-III, PC-IV & PC-V) reports, for assigned projects and approval of PC-Is through DDWP & CDWP of HEC, MoST, IDB, SPD and other funding agencies worth.

Additional responsibilities:

§    Administered performance appraisals and compensation programs and Works with management to develop faculty position descriptions and Advised managers and staff on career development and training strategies and organizes and coordinating meeting, seminars and workshops in collaboration with industry and Coordinated Senior Management in Selection/recruitment of project staff.

§    Delivered part-time lectures and tuitions to private sector institutes in the evening on various subjects of CS, IT and HRM, Management to Degree classes.

December 2002-July 2006:

Program Coordinator:  Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, Pakistan

§         Basically hired to take care of computer centre and to deliver lecture on advance subjects of Business Management and Computer applications to various Degree (M.Sc) and Diploma (PGD) Programs.

n     Lead the team to establish computer labs at Department of Mathematics. Performed job as Incharge Computer Centre to maintain and troubleshoot network of more than 100 nodes and supervised study projects.

§         Perform additional duty of Course Coordinator Diploma and degree programs and external examiner for affiliated centers and campuses of BZU and Coordinated Director CASPAM to run the diploma and degree programs successfully.
