Recent Finds from a Neolithic Excavation in Western Thessaly, Greece: The Site of Magoula Orgozinos.

The subject of this paper is the presentation of new finds from a recent salvage excavation in the Western Thessalian plain. It deals with the pottery, the stone tools and the clay figurines from Magola Orgzinos near Sophades, Kardhitsa, which are dated to the beginning of Late Neolithic period.

The examination of these finds and their comparison with other contemporary sites of the rest of Thessaly are revealing local differentiations but also common elements that allow us to include them in the wider cultural group of Neolithic Aegean.
